The keynote address was delivered by renowned human rights activist and author Harsh Mandar. Mandar's speech addressed pressing contemporary issues, particularly the erosion of India’s pluralistic identity. He highlighted how this trend, while a global phenomenon, is particularly acute in India. Mandar called for a united response involving education, awareness, law enforcement, and social cohesion to combat these challenges effectively.

A standout feature of the event was a thought-provoking play that illuminated a lesser-known chapter of Subhas Chandra Bose’s life. The play depicted an incident from Bose’s time at Presidency College, where he was wrongfully expelled following a protest against Professor Oaten’s disrespect towards Indian students. Contrary to various media portrayals, the play clarified that Bose was not involved in any physical confrontation or retaliation plans, which were falsely attributed to him.
The evening began with a beautiful musical performance by Swati Chatterjee, which set a reflective and inspiring tone for the event. The play, performed by Barrackpore’s own 'Kheyal Khushi,' left a profound impact on the audience, especially the students, by highlighting Bose's enduring legacy and its relevance to their own lives.
