Aarang 3: A Week of Colour, Emotion, and Art at the Academy of Fine Arts

In late April 2025, TSMPRO.in had the opportunity to promote a deeply personal and culturally rooted art exhibition — Aarang 3, the third solo showcase by emerging Bengali artist Bivabosu, held at the Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata, from April 25 to May 1.

A Personal Journey Through Colour

Aarang 3 marked Bivabosu’s third solo exhibition and showcased a striking collection of works exploring emotion through bold use of colour and form. The exhibition was inaugurated by renowned painter and writer Hiran Mitra, who praised the artist’s evolving control over composition and depth.

Visitors were drawn not just to the visuals, but to the feeling behind the brushstrokes. The exhibition offered an immersive experience that invited reflection and introspection — a testament to the artist’s connection with his work and the world around him.

Artist Rooted in Culture

Though Bivabosu is an academic by profession, his heart lies in art, poetry, and cultural storytelling. His creative language is heavily influenced by Bengali literature and aesthetics, and that cultural foundation was evident in every piece. The name “Aarang” — meaning “with colour” — beautifully reflects his approach to life and art.

A Small Contribution with Lasting Impact

Our involvement focused on helping promote the exhibition online and building light visibility across platforms. It was a modest effort, but one aligned with our belief in supporting meaningful creative work and independent artists.
